Energy Economics Extends Pocket GCS Product to Process Leak Cases and Image Media Data

New Release Enhances Functionality for Component in GCS Product Suite

Dodge Center, MN, October 1, 2004

Energy Economics, Inc. today announced the availability of Pocket GCS Version 1.2. Pocket GCS is a component of EEI's GCS suite of products that manages federal compliance regulations for natural gas utilities. The Pocket GCS user records inspection data for corrosion test points, pressure control stations, and valves that have been downloaded to a Pocket PC device and transfers the completed task data back to the host system. This release adds the ability to transfer assigned surveillance and repair tasks for leak cases, to display image media attached to any work task, to create free hand sketch drawings and attach them to leak cases, to create new leak records on the Pocket PC, and to create new maintenance tasks on the Pocket PC. Pocket GCS v1.2 supports Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Pocket PC 2002.

This release is another step in EEI's strategic plan to increase the functionality of its software products for its customers by envisioning the changing needs for the utility companies of the future.
