GCS consists of a sophisticated set of software modules designed to assist in the scheduling and tracking of your compliance and maintenance workload. Co-developed with a natural gas utility, GCS is based on industry standard practices and procedures. It automates data collection and record keeping for online access of facility information and work history detail.
GCS software was developed using client/server technology and object-oriented programming methodologies. The clients are Windows workstations and the server can be implemented on any relational database in a central or distributed environment. This open database concept means the GCS can be shared making the most current, up-to-date information available for all of your applications.
Detailed facilities information can be stored within each GCS module and can be integrated with your current mapping or geographic information 
systems application. In addition, included with the product is the ability to automatically execute GCS detail screens from within your GIS/AM/FM application to view or update the particular component information.
System administration features make it easy to customize and maintain the system's parameters without expensive programming changes. The extensive use of standardized codes and drop-down boxes allows for data consistency within your organization while utilizing a proven data model for the management for your gas facilities.
Optional pen-based, hand-held computers provide site-specific inspection forms for one-time data entry directly in the field. This eliminates the need for clerical data entry while ensuring data accuracy and increasing overall productivity.
All of the GCS modules come complete with full sorting and reporting options in addition to many standard reports and forms. This allows you to easily query all of your data and create reports that are individualized to fit your needs. In addition, data can also be copied into many popular spreadsheets for even more reporting options.
